I have known Brian through grade school and high school and saw him at reunion,

it appears that brian has lived  life  full of accomplishments and full of love.. I'm happy. for the life that he lived.

Dear Linda,
Many happy and healthy returns of the day as we 'slide down the razor blade of life' (Tom Lehrer). I hope you are well and are enjoying life. I am working on helping overcome the political and economic barriers to doing anything at all effective against climate change, so I guess I won't be retiring. I guess that being given the opportunity to add my little drop into the ocean is what makes me believe I have a happy life, especially after all these years of 'screaming in an empty room' (Nietszche). The only thing 'good' about the coming-to-power of Trump and his cabal is that it seems to have awakened many people from their slumbers, something that those of us who have been watching all this for many decades had despaired of ever happening. These are dangerous times, of course, but they always have been (be sure to hide under your school desk during an air raid drill) and now it is almost past time for all of us to wake up and join together despite the identity politics, post-modernist claptrap and consumerist emoluments that have kept us somnolent all these years. (I apologize for the rant, but since we never really got to know each other, and since the likelihood of our ever doing so is nil, I fall back on being in my dotage and am letting myself go a bit.) But the message from me today is, be well and happy and useful for the rest of your time on this mortal coil. Fondly, Mike the Knife

I reconnected with Pat at  the reuinion in 2012. I have been her Facebook friend ever since. I will miss her witty  and life affirming comments.They made me realize that I wish I had connected with her earlier. I missed out  alot.
