Read, Susan Sanderson   

Passed away on March 6, 2007 at her home surrounded by her family. Born March 12, 1944, she carried life to the fullest with a magnetic and fun-loving personality. We celebrate a terrific mother, who delighted in raising four sons and relished every moment with her grandchildren. A devoted family woman, she taught us the importance of humor, discipline, perseverance and love. Her artistic creativity inspired family, friends and casual onlookers. Her compassion was seen in charitable work with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater of Milwaukee, as well as other important causes. She was also a strong supporter of the University School of Milwaukee where she made significant contributions to athletic and educational programs. She is survived by her sons, Reik (Connie) Read, Andy (Suzy) Read, Adam (Katie) Read and Kit Read and three grandchildren. She is also survived by her mother, Bette Sanderson (George) Shay, her sister Nancy (Mark) LeGrand and her brother Robert (Judy) Sanderson and many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family requests a memorial be made to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee (1558 N. 6th St., PO Box 12486, Milwaukee, WI 53212) or the Charles E. Kubly Foundation (PO Box 170284, Milwaukee, WI 53217) in the name of Susan Sanderson Read. A Memorial Service will be held at North Shore Congregational Church at 7730 N.
