I haven't seen Tom since high school and had no idea that he had passed away. What I do know is that he was a really good guy with a great heart. I truly enjoyed hanging out with him and my folks and sister always enjoyed having him spend time at our house. I'm sorry that he isn't with us anymore and will miss him at our reunion.

I poked around the internet but couldn't find out anything about Tom's life since graduation. If anyone can add anything, it would be appreciated.

I spoke with Tom's wife Sherry Wilson Kuswa on July 9, 2012.  She currently lives in Kennesaw, Georgia and confirmed that Tom passed away about 10 years ago.

I was a long-time friend of Tom's and we hung out together all through high school.  His father owned the Rhinelander Brewery in Rhinelander, Wisconsin.  We took a trip up north one summer and stopped at the brewery for a tour.  I distinctly remember watching an older portly employee inspecting the bottles as they went past on a bottling assembly line.  If they were not completely full, he would grab the bottle, drink it and then wait for the next one.  As a teenager, I thought that was the ideal job.  Last I saw Tom was probably around 1968-69. He attended Wisconsin State University in Eau Claire.  One thing he used to say if I balked at doing something for him was "I would do it for you!"  Not completely sure that was true, but he made me feel guilty.

According to newspaper articles, Tom married Sherry Ann Wilson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Wilson of Eau Claire, Wisconsin, on January 22, 1966 at the First Lutheran Church in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.  Tom was the son of Mr. and Mrs. M. Wesley Kuswa of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.   Tom and Sherry had a son Michael Kuswa and grandchildren Tori and Erica Kuswa. Tom had a brother Robert W. Kuswa.  No obituary for Tom has been found.
